of Science degrees in Forest Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens
Point.
Professional Experience
Our foresters collectively offer more than 70 years of professional experience
in managing forests and helping private woodland owners to develop forest
plans. Futurewood Corp. owns nearly 14,000 acres of forest lands managed
by the company’s professional foresters with consideration to regeneration,
judicious harvesting, water quality and wildlife habitat. Futurewood Corp.
is a partner in developing the Karner Blue Butterfly Habitat Conservation
Plan and provides habitat in several locations for this endangered butterfly.
Your woodlands will be managed with the same care and attention given
to company lands.
Professional Affiliation
Our managing foresters have memberships in the Society of American Foresters,
a professional association requiring academic preparation and experience.
Other affilications include: the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association,
the Ruffed Grouse Society, Whitetails Unlimited, Ducks Unlimited, The
Nature Conservancy and other conservation groups.
Good Corporate Citizens
Our professional foresters teach workshops on forest management to private
woodland owners and school groups. They volunteer in their communities,
at their schools, in their churches and with sports and other recreation
activities for youth. They actively work on local community events like
the American Birkebeiner 55-km ski race and the Lumberjack World Championships.
